Chittenden County Transportation Authority (CCTA), Vermont's first public transit authority, manages and operates public transportation services in the Burlington, VT metro area. CCTA serves the communities of Burlington, Essex, South Burlington, Winooski, Shelburne, Williston and Milton as well as part of the city of Colchester. CCTA also operates express commuter bus service between the cities of Burlington and St-Albans, Montpellier and Middlebury.

Transferring from a regular route to a LINK route require a valid transfer ticket and an additional payment of 1.25$. Transferring from a LINK route to a regular route is free.
University of Vermont, Champlain College, and St. Michael's College Studants as well as Middlebury faculty and staff can ride all CCTA routes for free when presenting valid ID.
Fleet
CCTA operates a fleet of 55+ vehicles including 12 EPA2007 compliant vehicles. All vehicles use biodiesel fuel and are equipeed with bike racks.

Former Routes
CCTA also operates special weekday shopping shuttles and special holidays routes notably for major City of Burlington events including First Night and the July 3rd fireworks
